Behind The Scenes: 'Spectrum' Shoot
I know 4:30am isn't that early, but it's early for me... I am not a morning person (I don't think any sane person is; and if you are, prove me wrong!).
For a long time, I had this really cool idea that kept going through my head, but I never got the chance to actually execute it. Initially organising an 8am shoot sounds like a great idea; early morning start means that I'll get the rest of the day to myself to do something (boy was I wrong).
I was lucky enough to get my best-friend and photographer, Nick, on board with me again for this shoot. I'm a very visual person. I'm visual to the point where I will be able to dictate and describe every single detail of what I am imagining to you, till you fall asleep. Luckily, having known Nick for well over eight years, he has learnt to put up with my crazy 'out of this world' ideas, and help bring them back to a place with solid ground.
The studio we were shooting at had a MASSIVE cyclorama. I'm talking soccer field MASSIVE. To think that it was going to be a super chill, super relaxing day was actually the total opposite. Yes, it was fun, but the amount of jumping that I had to do to get that cover looking perfect... (Could probably now qualify for the Olympics or something; I mean, they have a jumping sport at the Olympics right?...)
But the end result was worth it, because I am absolutely over the moon with how the final product looks! A behind the scenes video will come shortly.
I cannot wait for you to hear the album that I've poured my heart and soul into. 'Spectrum' comes out July 29th!!
